Our stay at the Canopy was top notch. When you walk into the lobby, you know it’s going to be an outstanding stay. Location makes it easy to walk to many restaurants, boutiques and delicious little spots for a quick coffee and afternoon snack.
We spent the evening up on the rooftop bar at the Canopy Portland, and it was incredible. The views alone are worth the visit sweeping, open, and the perfect backdrop for a relaxed night out. The snacks were delicious, especially the everything fries, which were unexpected in the best way.
My wife and I enjoyed a one-night stay here recently. We liked the room from the moment we entered, and that feeling stayed with us through the next morning. It's a clean, modern, comfortable hotel located along Portland's waterfront with a short walk to just about everything you'd want to visit.
Great experience at this property, it’s near local restaurants and it’s good walking distance for local shops! Everyone was super nice, a few who stood out was Jennifer and Andrew who were very kind and extremely helpful, and Meghan who I assume is overnights as she was there earlier in the night.
Getting married at Canopy by Hilton Portland Waterfront
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
