Very nice view from the ocean and very nice room. But in my opinion why would you put drinks and treats each for 5$. I also want to say they give you a fan. Still nice. I mean very nice for 2 people! Hope this helped- ✨️
We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is a little outdated, but we loved it because it didn’t look fake or just quickly renovated. It was very cozy. We got a room with a fire place, which was so pleasant to sit in front of after a full day out at Hearst Castle- that is why we passed by San Simeon.
The rooms are a little dated, but if you can get past that and realize you’re there for the atmosphere, you’re golden. The views certainly didn’t disappoint. Was nice having an in-room fireplace. We made good use of that during our stay. It was convenient having the restaurant right there for the first night.
This place with the staff and the flexibility made my stay there absolutely amazing not saying it did, but if any problems arise, they were prompt to rectify. Spoke with multiple staff, up front and some workers on the grounds.
Getting married at Cavalier Oceanfront Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
