We had such a wonderful stay at Congress Hall. The resort is absolutely beautiful and full of so much history and charm. From the gorgeous grounds to the relaxing atmosphere, it truly felt like such a special place to visit as a family.
I had an incredible experience staying at this historic hotel. Everything from the beautiful beachside location to the classic, grand atmosphere made it feel like such a special getaway. The staff were incredibly attentive, and enjoying the pool and dining options really elevated the entire visit.
Loved this hotel! Full of history, beautifully decorated , great location. We stayed in the Congress suites across the street which was perfect for a family of 4. The walking history tour is a must if you're interested in the backstory.
Congress Hall was fantastic! Excellent rooms and the property is gorgeous! Fantastic food and cocktails. We had a disappointing dinner at Beach Plum Farm but the staff at Congress Hall really went the extra mile to make up for it.
Getting married at Congress Hall
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
