From the reviews
Our stay at the Inn of Cape May was absolutely wonderful. This beautiful century-old Victorian hotel is full of old-world charm and character, while still offering very comfortable accommodations. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, friendly, and inviting, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay.
I have been coming to Cape May for years, living and working there for three summers; The Inn of Cape May is my absolute favorite place on the island. Whether you are staying there or just going to the Porch / restaurant, you'll be treated exceptionally well by their amazing staff.
I felt that we had stepped into an episode of the “Gilded Age” from the moment we arrived. After a walk on the beach, we were greeted by a fire in the fireplace surrounded by cozy chairs. The walk up the grand staircase and the antique elevator added charm to the experience.
Beautiful old Victorian hotel in a very walkable location. Friendly staff, great views, free live music, easy walk to beach and Washington Street, good parking. We will definitely stay here again!
Getting married at The Inn of Cape May
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
