From the reviews
These are historic cottages (many of them recently renovated) that have a fantastic location, right on the Crystal Cove beach. They are not hotels, but a very convenient "camping" option. The rooms have hot water, showers, and regular flush toilets. The bedrooms have proper beds with fresh linens.
An amazing experience! The stay was so nice. Ellie in the office was very nice and accommodating. The rooms are cozy. Everything is pretty bare bones but it's supposed to be like that. I love that they've furnished the cottages with antique furniture. The views are spectacular.
11b is great for a romantic getaway. You can't beat the view. The pictures do not do it justice
The Crystal Cove Historic District offers a fascinating glimpse into Southern California’s coastal history. Located within Crystal Cove State Park, this small collection of restored beach cottages dates back to the early twentieth century and provides a rare look at what coastal living was like decades ago.
Getting married at Crystal Cove Beach Cottages
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
