I Stayed here for the weekend with my family. The location was nice, the view was beautiful, and the staff were friendly. It was well-maintained, room was clean and spacious. I spent 66,000 Marriott points + $57 resort fee + $66 for valet parking. It was a little pricey, but overall it made for a enjoyable vacation.
Nice place. Very cool pool. Staff was great. Fitness area above average. Bar was good size. Didn't eat there. Nice views on upper floor. The only kind of unusual thing was you have to walk outside into a center courtyard area that 9 or so stories high to get to the rooms.
I am currently staying at the VEA Newport Beach, and it is an immaculate property with superb amenities. I am here for a conference, and all of the services we received, including the meals have been top notch.
Had a really nice one-night stay here. Great location, beautiful hotel, comfy beds, spacious room with all the extras to make it feel like home. The sensored lights in the bathroom made for an "interesting" shower experience, but otherwise, everything was great. I'd come again.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
