This was such a cute place stay. All the comforts of home. It’s walkable to the beautiful beach ou or close if you have friends or family staying in the campground. The store is right by with everything you could want or need. Great restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking.
This is my third time coming to Dillon Beach Resort and, as always, it did not disappoint! This is one of my favorite long weekend spots with my dog Dennis. So close to our home in San Francisco but it feels so much more calm and serves as an amazing reset.
The ocean views are panoramic and intoxicating. Cottages are newer and appear well-maintained. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities that were included, and every employee we encountered was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was good, if a bit pricey.
I love the free sunrise / sunset parking schedule. Free parking if you arrive before 9am all year long. Free after 3pm most of year, except for during the summer (memorial Day through labor day) when it is only free after 6pm.
Getting married at Dillon Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
