We absolutely cannot say enough good things about the Kress! We had our wedding reception there in September 2022 and Jess was one of our favorite vendors to work with. She was so responsive and helpful through the whole planning process.
We just had our wedding at the Kress on 10/21/23 and the venue is everything we could’ve wanted. We had everything on site, the staff was friendly, extremely helpful and flexible. Great communication from both representatives of the Kress.
We just had our wedding at the Kress, and I cannot recommend it enough! The venue is so beautiful and well kept. They offered everything we could have possibly needed from a venue: chairs, tables, linens, glassware, tableware, music speakers, etc.
Getting married at Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
