Driftwood on the Ocean: A Coastal Gem Driftwood on the Ocean is a hidden gem nestled along the picturesque Montauk coastline. This charming resort offers an idyllic escape, where tranquility meets luxury. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by a serene ambiance and stunning ocean views.
Favorite place ever! My husband and I take the kids here every year (or go solo too) and have the absolute best time. Units are on the beach and quiet. Staff is wonderful and they’ll set you up with chairs and umbrellas and anything you need. Very accommodating and units are all really clean and beautifully becorated.
Perfect resort motel for families. Lots of amenities including grills and outdoor patios, easy beach access, and heated pool. My family has been going here for years and we love it. If you want to spend a week or weekend on the beach and relaxing with your family I can’t think of a better place than the Driftwood.
We keep going back to Driftwood because the location just can’t be beat. Right on the beach, and everyone is friendly and helpful. It’s great for families, you pick, the beach or the pool! I love the grills and mini kitchens so we can cook, but don’t miss the seafood nearby!
Getting married at Driftwood On The Ocean

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
