From the reviews
Gorgeous views, access to beach. A bit far from town, but still easy to get to. Staff are fantastic, kind, personable, friendly, helpful Room appeared clean at first glance, but some details made themselves known.
Each room has a beautiful view. If you are just worn out from life and don’t feel like doing much, just sitting on your patio and watching the kites and the sparse group of families play is very restorative. Walks on the beach can be endless and relaxing. Bring a coat as temps go from cool to warm.
Driftwood Shores in Florence, Oregon continues to be a special vacation destination for our family. We absolutely love that every room faces the beach — waking up to that ocean view never gets old.
The location is really solid if you are looking for a hotel on the ocean. The beach is less than 30 yards and the ocean is maybe 120 yards at the tide level of our visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. The kids loved the pool. The only downside IMO, was that the hotel bistro/restaurant was broke.
Getting married at Driftwood Shores Resort & Conference Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
