From the reviews
The beach is always awesome, yet if you know the Oregon coast, then it's no surprise that wind & or rain is often a factor, with this visit, no exception. Forecast 69°,partly sunny with light winds, but in reality, it was 64°, 20+ mph wind. It made flying my drone difficult, so I was unable to get much footage.
We went to the beach on June 11, 2022 it was a windy cool day but we made the most of it. We wrote on the sand, flew a kite, put our feet in the water, built a sand castle, and enjoyed the scenery. I am from Nevada so this was a very chilly day for me that’s for sure.
This is the very first beach I ever went to, after moving to the west coast. I often like going back there. The views are beautiful and it is peaceful here.
Nice beach, easily accessed for those with mobility issues. Not much in the way of scenery, but not allot of debris on the beach itself. Clean!
Getting married at Heceta Beach County Park
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
