From the reviews
We had our wedding reception at DBMS at the beginning of October and it was everything we could have asked for! Anita, the event coordinator, was so helpful throughout the process and especially so once we learned it was going to rain day-of.
Fantastic view. The facility is so amazingly maintained and managed by it's very capable staff. Always a great venue for any event large or small. Right on Duxbury Bay. Cheers!
Went to a wedding that was being held here. It was a really quaint venue and everyone had a good time.
Wedding review: Our August wedding at DBMS was a dream! The venue itself is right on the harbor and the views are stunning. Cocktail hour under the tent / on the deck was perfect, and dinner inside was amazing. The upstairs deck was available all night as well which was great.
Getting married at Duxbury Bay Maritime School
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
