From the reviews
We had our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at the Erie Yacht Club and it could not have been a more perfect dream come true. Our decorations were arranged even better than I had planned, the food was delicious and the wait staff was friendly, helpful and obviously well trained. The venue is gorgeous.
Attended a wedding the atmosphere was great, food was excellent and the service was top notch. Great job EYC
I would say it deserves a 5 if the weather was good all year long. The bay is a good place to sail. The wide channel out of the bay goes to Lake Erie and is connected to the world. Lake Erie can be a great place to start an adventure.
The Erie Yacht Club may be one of Erie’s best-kept secrets! I recently met up with friends for dinner, cocktail, and what turned out to be an unforgettable evening. We all thought our food was excellent, our server was great, and the atmosphere—right on the bay—is absolutely unbeatable.
Getting married at Erie Yacht Club
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
