Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! The moment we walked into the lobby, we were greeted by the most incredible signature scent—it created such a warm, relaxing atmosphere and set the tone for our entire visit.
Faraway Hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located to everything. I booked somewhat last minute for our 10-year anniversary. Since there were no king rooms available, I booked a double room and sent a note requesting to waitlist a king room.
I stayed at this beautifully restored boutique property during my trip to Edgartown, and it was an absolute dream. The historic charm of the building blends flawlessly with a chic, modern coastal design, creating an atmosphere that feels both upscale and incredibly relaxing.

Getting married at Faraway Martha's Vineyard
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
