This was where my extended family stayed during my daughter's wedding. It was home base for the week. PERFECT. Wedding was blocks away at the Harbor View Hotel. Stunning rooms. Beautiful porch. Backyard was great. Plenty of bathrooms and close to water shops and restaurants. Cannot wait to book again.
This home is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity to experience one of the best vacation rentals on the island. My family rented the house in July of 2018 and we had an incredible stay and the memories we made will last a life time. The home has EVERYTHING you will need to enjoy a fun filled vacation.
We had a great time, nobody wanted to leave! Superb location for all things in Edgartown, walking or biking distance to most activities. The yard was great for kids and the property worked very well for large families like ours, who included 24 people. Every amenity was provided that one could hope for.
The Captain Morse House was the perfect accommodation for our large extended family visiting MV for a wedding. There are so many BR’s and bathrooms to choose from, we were able to assign couples and singles perfectly. The home is beautifully decorated and well stocked.

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
