I just stayed at the Fathoms Hotel & Marina in Port Washington for the second time and Cindie and Steve welcomed me like a member of their family. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warmth and sincerity that makes you feel at home. That’s not something you find in most hotels!
This was a beautiful and peaceful stay the first week of May 2026. Fathoms is right on the water; we took the round trip inexpensive water taxi to Ninos for a family celebration and then took it for a tour of the bay and beautiful mansions, the guide telling us fun stories of local lore.
We have wanted to stay at the Fathoms Hotel for years and recently we have had several opportunities to stay. You need to book well in advance, but it is worth the wait. This is a very special Boutique hotel that has all of the elevated finishes of a luxury hotel.
My wife & I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fathom Hotel for our weekend get away for her birthday. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were made to feel like VIPs- the welcoming atmosphere and incredible hosts, Steve and Cindie.. They made the weekend more special than it all ready was .
Getting married at Fathoms Hotel & Marina
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
