From the reviews
Hotel was built in 1927 so rooms are a bit outdated. However, the staff was amazing. Had an issue with the toilet in my room and was immediately moved to a new room. Location is perfect for going out to various shops, bars, and restaurants.
This is a hotel that was built in 1927. It doesn’t have an elevator, but it only has three floors. The staff at the desk could not do enough to make sure that I was happy. When I was leaving, I mentioned that I need to get some salmon jerky for my son.
We stayed a week at the Gilmore and we will be missing the friendly people there. The staff was always available for a chat and gave tips on what to see and how to best go about it.
Great hotel with excellent location in town. Staff was wonderful...had an issue with the toilet upon checking in and was able to switch to another room, no hassle. They offer a complimentary ride courtesy of the local taxi service to and from the airport ferry if you flew into town.
Getting married at Gilmore Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
