From the reviews
You cannot beat this location, right in the heart of the Glacier Bay National Park. It is worth coming here and staying at the lodge instead of steaming by on a cruise ship.
We were so grateful to have stayed at Glacier Bay Lodge, such a wonderful place right in the park with magnificent views of the bay. We loved being able to take the 8-hour ferry tour with a ranger, which made the whole experience even more special and memorable.
Amazing staff - very kind, friendly and accommodating. They provide a great service at such a remote location. Made our experience with our baby memorable. Highly recommend for other families.
Amazing location! We enjoyed the boat trip to the glacier. Food at the lodge is top notch! Staff is friendly and very accommodating.
Getting married at Glacier Bay Lodge & Tours
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
