“Beautiful beach with lots of parking.”
From the reviews
Loved it for someone with a 2 yr old. I walked all the way to the beach to the left of the fishing pier bc there were TONS of jelly fish in the water of the main, larger beach. But the smaller area was PERFECT! shallow enough for my petite 2 yr old to stand about 4-5 ft in.. lots of big shells (oysters) ..
Spent some time here enjoying the sun. A much smaller beach than the one across the river. Plenty of parking, a boat ramp, fishing pier and port a potties. No concession stands in sight. I suggest bring a picnic lunch, sunscreen and ice cold drinks.
I always love to go to the beach. My kids were raised here and love it too. Other than holidays, it's usually not packed. The beach is usually clean, and the people are always friendly. Grandson loves the beach spring, summer, fall or winter! The view is beautiful too!
Visited for the 4th show was good I have been fishing hear before its a nice peir and beach its not to the level of yorktown but you also gotta look at the amount of tourism $ pouring in to yorktown i will say I like droping my boat more on the gloucester side
Getting married at Gloucester Point Beach Park
Gloucester Point Beach Park is a public beach or park, so a ceremony here almost always needs a permit from the managing city, county, or state parks office — and the rules matter: many public beaches cap your guest count, set ceremony windows, and restrict what you can set up (some ban chairs, arches, and amplified sound entirely). There's no on-site coordinator, catering, or weather backup, so you'll bring your own vendors and a rain plan. The payoff is a stunning setting at a fraction of a private venue's cost. Start with our public-beach permit guide, then call the local office to confirm this season's rules.
