From the reviews
Really close to the ocean. With really clean, well, maintained grounds and bathroom facilities, including showers. All of the campers were really respectful. I will say if you're not into children laughing. And crying and playing, then this may not be the spot for you. As for us, it's fun to watch kids having fun.
We visited in the off season. Flush toilets and FREE hot showers were still available. The facilities were spotless and maintained daily. The overall cleanliness of the park and shoreline is a testimate to rangers that take pride in their work. Plentiful wildlife (elk and coyotes) during our stay.
Amazing campground right on the beach, epic sunsets and foggy mornings, an incredible star watching experience as it’s super dark with no light pollution. An easy walk to Fern Canyon, and we saw some elk.
An amazing campground, it is so beautiful. I only stayed for one night but I wish I could’ve stayed forever. We stayed in site 12, which had an amazing view of the ocean. It was also pretty close to the bathrooms, but the campground is just a small loop, so most of the sites were close.
Getting married at Gold Bluffs Beach Campground
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
