We held our wedding weekend at GOM and it was more than perfect! Holly was so responsive and helpful during the planning process - we ended up renting the entire place; All of our guests stayed at the manor for the weekend and everyone loved it!

Our stay at Great Oak Manor was magical. I attended the yoga and meditation retreat with friends and the experience exceeded my expectation. The Manor is beautifully designed and situated on the Chesapeake Bay for the most gorgeous water views.
My friends and I had the honor of being invited to a small dinner party hosted by the owner. From the moment we stepped foot onto the immaculate grounds to the end of a beautiful dinner, I was pleased and enamored! The staff was always available and helpful.
Getting married at Great Oak Manor
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
