From the reviews
We recently stayed 2 nights for a friends wedding and it was our first time staying at an Inn and our first trip to Maine. We were blown away by how clean and thoughtful our room was. The owners are friendly and welcoming and made us feel very at home.
Another great stay ! We have been coming here 22 years since our daughter found Grey Havens for her sisters wedding. I think there have been 3 different Inn Keepers during that time and the current owners are the best. They are lovingly improving this historic Inn. They added a good restaurant too.
My granddaughter and her fiancee could not have chosen a more peaceful beautiful location to be married in Maine than the Grey Havens Inn in Georgetown, ME. The living room is beautifully decorated with comfortable seating to capture all the scenic views of sailboats and lobster traps being pulled.
We had the most relaxing vacation this August. I looked for a remote inn so we could get away and have some peace and quiet and this inn was perfect. I could watch the sea from the porch for hours, and we did (see the photo with the flag). We even caught sight of several bald eagles.
Getting married at Grey Havens Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
