I proposed to my fiancé at Gurney's back in late February. While the proposal itself was perfect, our first stay actually had some hitches that didn't quite live up to what we expected from the resort. However, the way they handled everything afterward is exactly why this place is world class.
My boyfriend and I have been coming to Gurney's for a few years and love the resort and spa. It's a great place to have a drink by the firepit at sunset. And the spa is amazing! The pool has a beautiful view overlooking the ocean. The massages and facials using Osea products leave me glowing. Can't wait to come back!
If you can swing it this place is magic. It’s on the beach, has outdoor and indoor pools and the grounds invite you to relax. It is truly a resort so that you can stay on property and have everything you need or leave and enjoy the towns.
We had an amazing experience during off-season - we had an ocean front room which was absolutely beautiful! The spa experience was tremendous! Overall, the service was amazing, courteous and attentive. The Manager at GiGi’s, Dmitri, was warm and welcoming - definitely recommend stopping there for the shrimp cocktail!!
Getting married at Gurney's Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
