This waterfront park has a lovely trail and adjacent boat ramp. The park itself is mainly used for large community events, so the vast lawn has stood empty for most of 2020. There is a cement amphitheater on the grounds that hasn't been maintained in years.
You can see Carson Mansion and yachts docked at the marina, with wide lawns spread out beautifully. The area connects all the way to the boardwalk, making it a perfect place for a stroll. Dogs can run around freely, and waste bag dispensers and trash bins are well maintained.
Well, I have to say this is a very underrated park. I mean there are not alot of thing that you can do there but it is a very nice place to walk around. I recommend you to do picnic there. There are table that you can sit on the right and you also able to see the ocean and the boat.
A relatively quiet place to park during the day for a few hours. The view of the water is limited but okay. There is a huge and very active off-leash dog field right next to it, so if you have a reactive dog, best to skip this one. There was some unhoused people-traffic nearby but nothing too worrisome.
