Wow! Unit #2 was stunning. We felt like we had our own private beach! Food truck to go and eat on the balcony was a perfect ending to a perfect day. Sleeping with door open and hearing the waves was magical. Waking up to a beautiful sunrise was breathtaking!
Best sunrise view in Hana! Do not let the non air-condition scare you...the open air allows for a cool ocean breeze in the morning, with a beautiful ocean front to walk along. Bring you water shoes for the walk and visit the general store in town to get your #survivedthehanahighway
Excellent location. Beach front with amazing views. A few other beaches are walkable from the hotel too. We enjoyed black sand beach, red sand beach, and visiting Haleakalā national park. 4/5 stars due to age of property and no AC. Room was clean and maintained, just dated.
My husband and I decided to stay in Hana last minute and we were not disappointed with these incredible views. I’m an AC loving gal and I had no problems feeling cool enough to relax as long as we kept the windows open, there was enough of a breeze to feel comfortable.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
