I grew up going here every summer in the 1970's, 1980's while growing up. Spinning my baton at the front of the 4th of July Parade while my dad and Uncle Randy would bang on the drums to lead us up the beach. Every year for our two weeks we would fly in from Texas.
Stayed here and attended a cousin's wedding here. Venue for wedding was beautiful and the 3 story porches made a great outdoor area. Rooms are very basic, but clean. Rooms have a half bath, but showers are shared. No linens or toiletries provided. Great location and beach front. Would stay here again if I was able to.
Very local very southern has the charm of the old south with a view that would cost you millions. It's been around a hundred years and earned it's spot as an exclusive mainstay of Wrightsville Beach
Great little club on the beach. Good beach access and a dock on the channel. They do need to renovate and improve their facilities though.
Getting married at Hanover Seaside Club Private Beach Club
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
