Need an escape from your crazy life or crazy people 😂 ? Hawaii Island Retreat is the best escape I've ever had ! The first moment when I walked in the resort, the scent of the white champaca flowers already took my breath away. I just fell in love so easy with this place!
I rarely write public reviews but I'm making an exception for the Hawaiian Island Retreat. We had the most peaceful, soul-healing time there, in a way that's hard to find in other resorts/condos.
Seriously, where to start?! This place has no equal. If you are looking for a typical Hawaiian vacation or stay, do not stay here. But if you are looking for a stay that is not just ridiculously unique but transformational, stay here . . . and stay many nights.
Extraordinary experience! My husband and I were in a group of 19 for a six-night guided yoga retreat. The center and grounds are breathtaking; beautiful open courtyard garden, quiet nooks, lovely rooms, wonderful yoga room, ocean sounds and views, infinity pool and a hot tub, massages and treatments available.
Getting married at Hawaii Island Retreat
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
