We had my daughter's wedding here. Rented out the entire ranch, and family stayed in all the cottages. If you are holding an event, you do have to bring in all your own vendors, but that was fine with us. It gave us more creative control. The venue is beautiful and quiet, the perfect backdrop for the wedding.
We stayed in the "Miles Away" cabin during the first week of the new year. We thought it had a great mix of feeling comfortably old and rustic but also luxurious. We were well informed about expectations of living in an old house on a ranch surrounded by tropical vegetation.

This was our third time staying at Puakea Ranch over 10+ years. We have stayed in the Cowboy House, Miles Away, and most recently the James’ Cottage. Simply said, this little piece of paradise is extraordinary .
Getting married at Puakea Ranch
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
