I attended a wedding at High Cliff on 8/19 and it was beautiful! The outside gazebo was gorgeous! The event center was clean, spacious but cozy and the food was exceptional. The couple did fresh greens, an assortment of BBQ meats, Mac and cheese, beans, sauces and cornbread. Everything was delicious!
We had our wedding at the end of May 2025, outside ceremony and lower ballroom reception. It was a wonderful experience, from "checking the place out" to booking (which we did right away after seeing it), to planning everything, to the day of! The Honey staff was accommodating and extremely great to work with.
We recently had our wedding reception in the upper ballroom and it was such a great experience! The view is beautiful from up there, the staff was always so nice and helpful, and the late night pizzas were definitely a hit! We also worked with Molly from the event planning services on site, Honey Events & Planning.
So much fun. I'd attended a wedding reception there the night before and we decided to play the next morning. I am NOT much of a golfer, so I'm not one to critic courses. I had a great time. It was easy to get a tee time, and staff was friendly. The drink cart running the course is genius.
Getting married at High Cliff Golf and Event Center
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
