This was my third time staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad, and I could immediately tell something was different—in the best way possible. It felt like the hotel was under new management because the level of care and attention to detail was outstanding.
We had an enjoyable stay overall and would recommend this hotel. The location was great, the staff was friendly, and whenever we had a question, they were always helpful. We especially appreciated how professionally our feedback was handled after our stay.
I gave the room three stars due to some issues with the room, including the lack of an in-room safe and a broken sliding door. The room itself could also benefit from some updates. Additionally, we encountered some challenges with room cleaning.
Our stay at Hilton Garden in Carlsbad was excellent. The pool is great for kids and the beach is right across the street. Although you will have a little walk to get there. It’s close to great restaurants and shopping nearby as well.
Getting married at Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
