Having the Hornsby House as our wedding venue was the best experience we could have asked for. All of our families staying together in one house, having warm home cooked meals together, and getting to celebrate our day was something truly unforgettable.
I prefer B&Bs when traveling especially in historic places. My wife and I brought our kids here for an experience to walk and stay where our founding fathers had. Hornsby House Inn is as described and more. Clean is huge for me and it delivered.
There is EVERYTHING to love about Hornsby House Inn. The location is perfect for exploring the Historic Triangle from a quiet, comfortable spot far away from the maddening crowds. You can sip a beverage on the front porches or read indoors in inclement weather. We always meet delightful people.
My band, the Kingsmill Band performed for a wedding tonight. The Venue was perfect! Tom, one of the owners and Lexi, the wedding planner were excellent. We were just the band not the wedding party; however, they treated us with the utmost respect and cooperation!! Great place for a wedding
Getting married at Hornsby House Inn
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
