The Hyatt Regency in Maui is a very nice resort - in fact, it's our favorite to date. Our stay was in early April, just as it was the last time we stayed here in 2017. Customer service, convenience and atmosphere were all well within expectations for a resort in this class.
My husband and I had a truly lovely stay at the Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali for our honeymoon. The service we received from the moment we pulled up to the valet was top notch. We had an ocean view room and enjoyed the beautiful views from our balcony. The amenities at the resort exceeded our expectations.
Excellent stay at this Hyatt! The hotel rooms are newly renovated after the devastating fires from a couple of years ago. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are very attentive. Plenty of activities within walking distance. Views are incredible!
Getting married at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
