Amazing accommodations: Clean, beachy and enough of everything. The place is literally right on the beach so you can visit any time, or go to the pool right on site. Also, Schuckers has delicious food to boot! I wouldn't change a thing, and very family friendly.
This place is always amazing when we stay. The views of the beach, the location, and all the amenities are great. I would have to say the hospitality is the main reason we stay here repeatedly. Judy is an absolute master class in hospitality and always makes sure you have what you need.
Perfect location, our 201 unit is on Second floor overlooking the beach. Better view of the beach, the higher you are. Beach access is right underneath our patio. It's quiet even though a restaurant is next door. We had great views of sun rise. The unit was clean, and comfy. The fridge had a leak, but it worked.
Very nice resort featuring daily, weekly or monthly rates. Very cool Shuckers restaurant with great selection of food and bar serving tropical drinks. Quaint gift shop on premises with nice selection of beachy clothes, jewelry, stickers, sea shell art, crystal dangles, cute signs and more.
Getting married at Island Beach Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
