From the reviews
My family traveled a the beginning of the season (May) so not many things were open. However, we enjoy the slower pace and less people are just what we were looking for. The amenities in the cabin were great and location was perfect. We will definitely come back when things are fully operational.
Great location along the river/canal. Views across the water are nice. RV lots nice sized. Camp store is nice too. Friendly people. Can be windy, but the owners are planning ahead and planting lots of trees and bushes! (Just hope none are Invasive). Will be coming back.
I visited the Keweenaw Waters Resort as part of a family group of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids under 18 including 1 baby) and would strongly recommend it. It was extremely comfortable and well laid out to accommodate a group of our size, including 2 full refrigerators (plus a bonus drink fridge), a massive dining room table,…
I loved the simplicity of checking in and checking out. All done by text messaging and email. However, when we had an issue the staff was on it immediately. We stayed in the 1 bed lower level unit. It has its plus and minuses. There's a lot of stairs, but a small landing at the top to place items.
Getting married at Keweenaw Waters Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
