We absolutely loved staying here! The individual rooms were very comfortable and decorated like it was our own home. The owners were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay special. We cooked in every day so we loved having a small but functional kitchen.
I could not leave a more glowing review! We used The Lodge Luxury Suites for our small wedding reception and had my family rent out all of the suites for the weekend. Everyone said how comfortable, beautifully decorated, and accommodating the suite rooms were.
Had a wonderful stay at the Lodge Luxury Suites. Rooms are modern, clean, private, and quiet. Location is great with a beautiful view of the lift bridge, but it can be challenging to leave the Lodge and turn left to go into Hancock.
Incredible location, exceptional furnishings and every detail thought of in advance. For those who are visiting children at Michigan, Tech, this location is actually much more convenient than the Hilton downtown. With a small butt full kitchen, we were even able to cook dinner twice for five hungry teenagers!
Getting married at The Lodge Luxury Suites
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
