“We kept the shades up to enjoy the stars and the moon as it set, and the deck view over the Russian River was stunning, especially at sunset.”
From the reviews
Treated ourselves to an after-Christmas staycation at the Madeira House in Jenner, staying in the Osprey Room, and it was absolutely wonderful. The Osprey Room itself is best described by one perfect word: cozy. The space is comfortable and thoughtfully designed.
This was our first stay under the new Madeira House management. We have stayed at the Jenner Inn/Madeira House properties for over 25 years, and it continues to be one of our favorite get-aways. We stayed in the "Sunset Room" for one night. It was nicely upgraded, very comfortable with a king bed, and well appointed.
This is such a sweet property. While there is staff onsite for part of the day, it's really more of a self-serve experience. Each space is distinctly different. It is right on the highway, and voices do carry through the property, so sound sensitive folks should keep that in mind.
We had a magical overnight at Madeira House. When we arrived, we asked if we could switch rooms to one with a water view and not only was our request accommodated, the amazing staff person helped us with our bags, set us up with a dog bed and bowls for our dog and made us feel so welcome — all while it was pouring…
Getting married at Madeira House
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
