Right on the beach tiny houses. the owner was fantastic. We showed up without reservations. She had a room ready and got us right in. There is a fire pit and a tiki bar on the beach but we where there before the season so it was closed. Close to town. The owner also operates the local movie theater.
My friends and I had a wonderful experience. 1st impression is everything, the lady who booked my room was very sweet and helpful over the phone and the staff were friendly and helpful as well once we arrived. The cottage looked exactly like the pics which was a plus for me.
A great big THANKS to Tom and the crew at Under The Radar, Michigan!! We saw Mai Tiki on one of the episodes and had to give it a whirl. Definitely a fun place to try. Great little cabins and they are decorated to the hilt with the tropical island motif.
Me and my husband recently spent 9 night's in cabin 21. The cabins are on the beach of Lake Huron. They are very cute, colorful cabins equipt with most everything needed to enjoy your stay. The beach is pristine and there are games available on the beach.
Getting married at Mai Tiki Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
