Yes the rooms or at least our cabin was out dated but then again our purpose of just getting away for the weekend wasn't based on the cabin itself. Hearing the waves, smelling the fresh air, not being bothered and being so close to town was what our weekend away was all about.
We had a fantastic time!! We got the smaller cabin for myself and 2 children and it was perfect for us. The cabin was everything a cabin should be cute and comfy, also had everything we needed. The resort had plenty of lounge chairs to enjoy the view of the lake and sit around the fire.
Great view and access to lake Huron. Beautiful flowers (lots) and trees. Cabins are dated but this is the experience we wanted. Nice wood walls and views of the lake from inside are exquisite. Owner is very friendly and makes the stay much more fun to be able to talk with him.
Our stay at the scenic resort cabins during both Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends was nothing short of magical! Nestled amidst breathtaking natural beauty, the cabins offered a perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm.

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
