I travel roughly twice a month for work all over the country and this week I was in Meredith for a conference. The hotel is a lovely little place nestled against the lake with an adjoining event center. The staff was very kind and attentive. The rooms were nice nice, a little dated maybe, with a sweet little balcony.
Mill Falls at the Lake exceeded all our expectations! The location was wonderful with a variety of shops and restaurants to enjoy. The views were stunning, and the resort itself was top notch. Friendly staff, clean and cozy rooms and common areas, beautiful pools with indoor outdoor hot tubs...
10/10. We came here around christmas using a daypass and enjoyed our time so much that we decided to come back for Valentine’s Day weekend. We ended up finding out that there’s an adults only pool area which was great and felt very secluded. My partner and I were able to have the getaway that we deserve.
What an amazing experience so far. Everyone has been very helpful and nice. The room is perfect! What a view we have right out to the lake! We had drinks on the balcony lady night and coffee this morning watching the sun rise and all boats being launched into the lake! What an experience that was.

First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
