I can't say enough good things to anyone who will listen about Miller's. They go above and beyond at every turn and of the many charters I've done in my life it was by far* the best.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an outstanding experience with Miller's Landing Fishing Charter in Alaska. From start to finish, everything was professional, organized, and enjoyable. The captain was knowledgeable, worked hard to put us on fish, and made sure everyone had a great time on the water.
My husband and I were staying in Seward and decided to try this place out. The service was great and the location is perfect. While enjoying some tomato bisque soup, we saw that there was about a dozen sea otters in the water. They were busy eating, playing and floating the day away. There were a ton of seagulls too.
As a wedding planner, I can confidently say The Miller's have created a truly beautiful wedding venue. While I haven’t had the opportunity to work an event there personally yet, I do know the owners, Tom and Meegan, and they genuinely love what they’re building.
Getting married at Miller's Landing
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
