From the reviews
Staying at this hotel was quite a wonderful experience and it was everything we hoped for and more. An absolutely beautiful, elegant historic hotel that just finished renovations and it looks absolutely splendid. The lobby area and the pool courtyard are both so beautiful.
Spent this past weekend at the Moana Surfrider, and it’s the kind of place that quietly wins you over. The newly renovated rooms feel fresh, bright, and spacious, with a modern touch that somehow still fits perfectly with the building’s timeless character.
Love the old world architecture. Like stepping back in time! I love art and history, so for me the back veranda was perfect spot to sit and sketch. Then there is that beautiful Banyon Tree!! We enjoyed a delicious lunch every day in that outdoor bar.
Two Banyan Wing Rooms - Beach & Diamond Head Views. Our stay at the Moana Surfrider was the perfect way to celebrate the Fourth of July and our daughter’s 32nd birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine Hawaiian hospitality that made our family feel right at home.
Getting married at Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, Waikiki Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
