5 stars After traveling more than 18,000 km (11,185 miles) across the United States and Canada in our travel trailer as a family of four with our dog, Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina became one of the most memorable and enjoyable stops of our entire journey.
This family vacation was an absolute blast! Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Honestly, this is my ideal beach vacation—no waves! Kids can swim, play in the water, or relax on the beach. You can also rent paddleboards or boats for some extra fun. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
It's a very nice, well maintained RV park. It's pricey, but the location is amazing. It was nice to get out of the inland heat for a couple days. One caveat, if you get a spot with a concrete pad, take care. The dirt is lower than the pad.
Getting married at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
