From the reviews

I will definitely book my next Orcas Island stay at North Beach Inn and stay longer than the 3-day weekend. My cabin had everything I needed, but the best part was my beach. The sunsets with bonfires were such treasures! And the place is extraordinarily dug friendly. There were happy dogs everywhere.

Had a great time. Cabin was well stocked and charming. It's kind of a mom and pop place that has been owned by one family for decades. There is no WiFi here and you won't get cell service here. That was a big plus for us on vacation. I actually got a text from my cell provider welcoming us to Canada.

Please excuse the pics, I know I should have taken them at the beginning, but we checked in at night 🌙. The little cottage was clean and spacious for the 3 of us.

Staying at Mary's House at the North Beach Inn was exactly the stress-free vacation we were looking for. While the house doesn't sit on the beach, it has a much more private setting on the bluffs overlooking the ocean.

Getting married at North Beach Inn

Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
