Stayed here for one night in February 2026 and can't imagine staying elsewhere in Cambria now. Clean, comfortable room and EXCELLENT location. Very pleasantly surprised to find a nice beach just steps away from the room where we watched the sunset. Fun outdoor facilities onsite, too, and free parking.
Drove down HWY 1 from the Bay Area, this route is so worth the drive if you haven't done it yet. One of the first towns outside of Big Sur area is Cambria. Lovely little town, but the Oceanpoint Ranch is so nice if youre looking for something practical for you and your doggies.
We absolutely loved this place!!!!!! Not only is it is cute and cozy! It is fun! Perfect for families or couples! There is so much to do! The beautiful walk to the ocean view is breathtaking! The fire pits, s'more making, game room, clean pool, ect!!!!!! The rooms are clean and the customer service is awesome!
Location is perfection. I've stayed before and will return because of the location. The customer service and room cleanliness have declined. Layers of dust on the floor and I requested additional towels four times and they never arrived.
Getting married at Oceanpoint Ranch
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
