This resort never fails to impress me and the group that comes with me. We have been coming here since 2012. The townhouses are fully equipped and furnished to accommodate your stay and most are beautifully decorated.
Excellent spot for a quieter vacation. Even in mid-July it was chilly in the mornings but in the afternoons once the marine layer burned off it was great to be right on the beach. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
We stayed here for a weekday trip. Was not crowded and very peaceful. Beach access is convenient and the beach is nice. The main street to get here really needs to be repaved, it's had about 500 patch jobs that have failed. Its convenient to highway 1 access, and downtown there is everything you need.
This is our second time going down here with the kids and it's always a great time. The beach is super clean, large, and safe for the kids to play in. The resort takes care of a lot of things or if there are any problems. We are turning this into an annual trip now. If you're looking for nightlife though, forget it.
Getting married at Pajaro Dunes Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
