From the reviews
We had our wedding here in October of 2023 and it was spectacular! The pricing was great and although it's not the fanciest accommodations, the location and service was spectacular! After getting booted from our original wedding venue of choice, Plum Point was our savior.
We loved our recent stay in one of the Yurts located on the lodge property. Absolutely beautiful little spot perfect for our couples get away. The yurt was larger than expected, very clean and warm for "glamping" in cool temperatures (April).
We were not sure what to expect given the name had "lodge" but what a delightful surprise. The room and bathroom were clean and well appointed. We had a view of the lake. There were two rocking chairs in front of the room were we had our morning coffee again with a view of the lake.
Nice location. It took a while to forgot the thermostat did not actually control the heater, no idea what it's for aside from telling me that setting the temp to 66 was doing nothing to the 80 degrees the unit was pumping out. The bed head was a few degrees lower the the foot, which isn't great.
Getting married at Plum Point Lodge on Seneca
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
