From the reviews
I am not exaggerating when I say that this wedding went beyond my dreams. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, caring, and just extra extraordinary (and I have to say that every personal experience in Kona leads me to believe that the kindest people are located in this city). The venue itself was spectacular.
Royal Kona was a perfect place for our wedding. The venue was intimate and the staff closed off the area around the venue so we did not have to deal with foot traffic during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer were able to capture everything really well.
Don't question it, book your wedding here! Before our wedding, I had not visited the Big Island before. The pictures you see online are accurate to what you will see when you arrive. Maggie Sneyd is hands down the best wedding coordinator. She is very responsive and is very patient.
Planning a wedding in a pandemic was difficult! Royal Kona Resort was able to pull through and gave us the perfect reception dinner for an intimate wedding / elopement. We loved the venue, setup, private chef, food & drinks and overall the service provided to us! It will always be a magical memorable night.
Getting married at Royal Weddings Kona
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
