From the reviews
I haven’t tried the food here, so I can’t comment on that, but the atmosphere here is incredible. After waiting to be seated, I finally got the perfect table with an ocean view—right where you can hear the Kona waves crashing in. Bartender Lacey was absolutely amazing!
This is a great spot, for dining views at a table or to relax at the bar and listen to live music. Lacy, one of the bartenders, is a rock star. Always moving, making drinks and pouring beers. This can be a very busy bar and she manages it well.
Fantastic view, food was excellent we had the ribeye and Sesame seared Ahi both prepared perfectly. The mai tai was delicious. Our server Mariah was friendly, attentive and made our dinner date a perfect time , graciously taking our picture to remember the day.
Getting married at Papa Kona Restaurant & Bar
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
