My husband and I stayed at Sandaway Suites & Beach for our honeymoon last week. We’d fallen in love with Oxford after staying in a bnb there last summer, but now that we’ve found this “hidden gem”, we can’t imagine ever staying anywhere else!
Sandaway is absolutely lovely! Quiet and serene. Great place to just take in the beautiful views and relax. Walking distance to shops and restaurants in quiet Oxford. Service is excellent. Would recommend staying a night or two to recharge yourself. Specifics. We stayed in a deluxe suite with bay view.
Absolutely magical stay at Sandaway Suites & Beach! From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, elegant, and incredibly welcoming. The waterfront views are breathtaking — especially at sunset — and the private beach creates such a relaxing, exclusive atmosphere.
I went to Sandaway because my oldest raved about the property and staff. My experience at the property and staff did not disappoint. My room was cleaned by Sherie who did a great job and every morning Keke delivered hot coffee/tea and a bag of goodies to my door to start my day.
Getting married at Sandaway Suites & Beach
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
