From the reviews
This place was so charming and unique! It was warm, inviting, and nostalgic. My partner and I stayed in the Picnic trailer and it was perfect. It was just a short walk to the beach and a short drive to town. The trailer was so cute.
I attended Arts Week at Sou’wester Lodge and had a wonderful time! The setting alone is stunning. Seaview has this quiet, windswept beauty that slows you down in the best way. You’re close to the ocean, surrounded by trees, and there’s this constant sense of spaciousness that lets your mind open up.
Went to a weekend music event a finally got a look at the property. I cannot speak to the room quality but looked as advertised. It is a very special place with a creative edge that caught me happily by surprise!
We had a lovely stay in one of the vintage trailers. The sauna hour was so amazing. I highly recommend booking the sauna when you visit. We headed to the coast for some relaxation and razor clamming. We achieved both goals and were even able to walk to the beach from the resort for clamming.
Getting married at Sou'wester Historic Lodge & Vintage Travel Trailer Resort
Two things make the tour worth the drive. First, see the ceremony spot at the exact time of day you'd say your vows — a west-facing beach glows at sunset but bakes at noon, and you'll want to feel the wind, watch where the sun sits, and walk the path your guests take across the sand. Second, bring your real questions: the weather backup (where does the ceremony move if it rains or the wind kicks up?), who pulls the beach permit, the sound-ordinance curfew, the catering and bar policy, and exactly what's included — chairs, setup, and teardown on sand are where quotes quietly diverge. Peak beach dates book 12–18 months out, so if the tour feels right, ask what's open in your season before you leave.
